Bookkeeper - Must drive due to company location
We are recruiting for a full time Accounts Assistant working Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm. This is an office based position working for a friendly company based in Great Leighs. Our client can also consider part-time, 3 days per week.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Opening new accounts & credit checking
Processing & allocating customer payments
Preparation & reviewing monthly accounts including prepayments, accruals, journals & closing the month in Sage
Credit control
Processing monthly payroll and submission to HMRC & pension provider
Bank postings & reconciliations as well as regular customer/supplier account reconciliation
Monitoring cashflow & reporting to the Director
Quarterly VAT returns and assisting with the year-end accounts if required
Order processing, collecting payments, sending invoices and statements, issues returns and credit notes
Answering customer queries by phone & email
Liaising with supplier, monitoring cost prices, ordering stock, allocating delivery notes and producing customs documentation when required
Ensure company paperwork & certifications are up to date, including staff training
Approve and monitor staff sickness & holiday as well as processing staff monthly expenses
Experience required:
This position will offer you free parking on site and a salary of up-to £28,000 DOE.
