We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with expertise in Xero to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who has a passion for numbers and a track record of maintaining accurate financial records.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Working on payroll and managing invoices.
- Reconciling bank accounts and conducting regular ledger checks.
- Utilising Xero accounting software for financial reporting and management.
- Preparing VAT returns and understanding financial regulations and legislation.
- Collaborating with the accounting team to support various tasks, including end-of-year accounts preparation.
- Assisting with budget preparation and cash flow forecasts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software is essential.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications are desirable.
