Our client in Andover are looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, with the flexibility to work from home one day a week. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance, this position could be perfect for you.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping including financial transactions, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information.
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Develop systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
  • Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant financial software.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial information.
