Branch Director (Insurance Broker)

Salary:£70,000-£75,000 basic which is flexible depending on the candidate as well as car allowance, bonus and various additional options and benefits to secure the right candidate
We are a Professional Services recruitment agency based in Birmingham, specialising in sourcing top talent within the insurance sector. We are currently representing a leading insurance broker in their search for a dynamic and results-driven Branch Director to join their team.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth of a branch income, with a strong focus on client interactions and business growth. You will have the opportunity to manage and collaborate with a dedicated team, inheriting existing business while actively seeking opportunities to expand the client base. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving branch income, profit and loss, managing performance, streamlining processes, and developing effective pipelines with sales staff and team leaders for service teams.
Responsibilities:
Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery and fostering long-term relationships.
Identifying potential areas for growth and implementing strategies to maximise revenue.
Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan, both for individual performance and the overall branch.
Analyse profit and loss, establishing targets and implementing measures to enhance profitability.
Manage team performance, mainly in the way of Account Executive and Development Executive staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the achievement of targets.
Working with regional and operational staff, streamline operational processes with, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
Proactively identify new business opportunities, promoting the value proposition of the organisation's insurance services.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective pipelines and strategies that drive business growth.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and competitors to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the insurance industry, specifically within a brokerage setting
Strong track record in client relationship management, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to drive business growth, meet targets, and achieve profitability
Knowledge of profit and loss and performance metrics is preferable
A strategic thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team
Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
A detailed understanding of the insurance market, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary £70,000-£75,000 with the potential for remuneration outside of this range for exceptional individuals.
