Job Type: Full Time, Office Based, No Hybrid

Salary: £37,500 + Bonus £4,000 Per Annum (£41,500 OTE).

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00am – 17:30pm

As a leader within our Retail Branch Network, you will be accountable for the day-to-day performance of your branch and team.  Delivering best in class service and meeting if not exceeding all branch target expectations and retail network objectives.

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Lead & Inspire: Drive performance and excellence within your branch by leading a high performing team, setting the standard for service and customer satisfaction.  Provide mentorship, training and guidance to Sales Agents and Senior Sales Agent/Account Managers ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Branch Performance:  Be accountable for the overall success of the branch, managing day to day operations, delivering exceptional service, resolving customer inquiries (both face to face and over the phone) and ensuring efficient workload management.  Your leadership will directly contribute to achieving new business, renewals and overall market share growth.
  • Market Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of the local Taxi industry to drive product sales, develop relationship[s with local businesses and position Acorn Insurance as the go to insurer in your market.  You will be a key resource for your team guiding them through the sales process and helping them build strong customer relationships.
  • Commercial Growth: Work alongside the Fleet Commercial Department to generate an qualify B2B/B2C leads, expanding Acorn’s presence within the fleet market whilst ensuring completion of all CRM activities and related tasks (Salesforce).  Your deep understanding of the local market will help identify new opportunities and create lasting partnerships to drive growth.
  • Market Leadership: Champion the development and execution of local marketing initiatives that promote the Acorn product suite.  Conduct competitor analysis, gather customer feedback and identify key growth areas to optimize branch performance.  You will lead “boots on the ground” marketing efforts building visibility and generating new business opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee branch operations, including opening/closing procedures, health and safety (Fire Marshall & First Aid) and banking processes.  You will manage detailed performance reports, track KPI’s and ensure compliance with quality standards.  Regularly report performance to senior leadership.
  • Strategic Sales: Utilise Swiftcase/Salesforce to manage all pipeline leads, track customer interactions and drive new business and renewals sales.  Focus on identifying and nurturing fleet commercial leads, qualifying prospects and maintaining relationships to generate sustained business growth.
  • Work closely with the Fleet Commercial team to ensure seamless customer experiences and timely sales conversions.
  • Engage with local industry representatives to stay at the forefront of industry developments and ensure Acorn’s offerings remain competitive.
  • Regularly report on market trends, customer insights and competitive dynamics to senior leadership to inform business strategies.
  • You will be responsible for providing information on both Acorn product suite and services to prospective B2C and B2B audiences.  You will have the ability to operate beyond business physical premises to generate leads and opportunities to penetrate new markets.
  • You will apply focus to geographical areas to deliver understanding of that landscape with support from your team, Fleet Commercial department, Branch Network and SMT.
  • Your contribution will include but not be limited to, self-lead generation, identifying, onboarding, prospecting and qualifying Fleet lead accounts/opportunities through to sales conversion.
  • A key measure of success will be determined by your ability to successfully nurture fleet commercial leads, build qualified customer profiles, B2B activity sourced through local networks/localised markets “Boots on the ground” to create future opportunities to serve both pipeline/new business sales.
  • You will be provided with a CRM system (Salesforce) to create and manage day to day inbound and outbound activities, diary prospect appointments (including support BDM diary visits), lead buckets to funnel UTA and regions to deliver our market appetite through submissions & new business sales.
  • You will apply focus to geographical areas to deliver understanding of that landscape with support from your team; Branch Operations Manager (BOM), Fleet Manager (FM), Fleet Operations Manager (FOM) and HOD/SMT (Senior Management Team).
  • You will need to provide in-depth knowledge and be an SME regarding “Acorn Insurance” Taxi product suite offering.  To achieve this, you will be detail-orientated, approachable, ability to network and sustain relationships fitting both customer and Taxi department endeavours.
  • You will provide research and accurately record/report on findings and market conditions to FM/FOM/HOD/SMT.  You will be highly self-motivated, professional, ability to be clear and concise, effectively communicate one on one and to a wider audience.
  • Accountable for a self-driven approach to all activities and own performance.  Support the departmental business growth objectives by achieving daily KPI’s.  Aligning day to day activities and sales to the business appetite as well as maintaining a ‘good’ service level delivery daily.
  • With support from your team, you will be responsible for setting up new business with accuracy, clear and concise communication both verbally and written whilst creating a seamless approach for both underwriters and the customer journey.
