We are seeking a dedicated Brickwork Lecturer to join a dynamic team at a college in Northampton. This role involves teaching students across various levels, including full-time, part-time, and short courses within both further and higher education departments. The successful candidate will also act as a course tutor, guiding students through their academic and practical learning.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lectures in brickwork to students at different levels of education.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet the curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students as a course tutor.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and progress.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices and subject knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Brickwork.
- Minimum grade C in GCSE Maths and English.
- Either already holds a Teaching Qualification or is willing to work towards obtaining one.
- Must hold an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to the development of students.
