### Description**Summary of Role Purpose** The Shift Manager will be the main point of contact for team during theirworking day in the Buffets restaurant department.Reporting to the Venue Manager, the Shift Manager will ensure dailyoperational plans are fulfilled by ensuring that relevant tasks and objectivesare being carried out by the team and that team are in the right place at theright time to ensure we can manage fluctuating guest demand whilst keepingoperational standards and guest experience high. You will support and coachthe team to ensure the deliver a great experience and are also driving any keytargets such as add on sales or promotions.This is an operational guest facing role and therefore all none-guest facingtasks and activity will be allocated as time within your working week to allowyou to spend the majority of your time within your venue and with our guests. Typical working hours cover 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 split shifts.Breakfast shifts are 7.30am - 12pm, dinner shifts are 4pm - 8pm.### Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be responsible for driving guest satisfaction byimproving Guest NPS (Net Promoter Score) and addressing feedback to enhancethe overall customer experience. They will also play a key role in boostingemployee engagement through improved ENPS (Employee Net Promoter Score) andfostering a positive and productive work environment. Additionally, they will focus on optimising retail spend to ensure financialefficiency while maintaining profitability. Furthermore, the ideal candidatewill ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time,managing staffing effectively to meet business needs and uphold highoperational standards.### About YouYou will be responsible for managing the team during shifts, ensuring that keytasks and objectives are met. You’ll actively drive add-on sales andpromotions while supporting your team to do the same. Maintaining stock andensuring propositions are always available for guests is crucial, as isconsistently delivering a quality guest experience in line with brand andvenue guidelines. You will also ensure that guest feedback is captured andaddressed where possible, monitoring NPS and taking appropriate actions.You will provide accurate rota planning three weeks in advance using our in-house roster system and take accountability for the accuracy of closing thesystem. A key part of your role will be coaching and developing the team tomeet departmental goals while championing Butlin’s Values and LeadershipBehaviours. You will ensure the right people are in the right place at theright time when creating rotas. Building and maintaining strong relationships across the resort, with otherresorts, and with Butlins central support teams will be essential.Additionally, you’ll support the people aspects of the department, managingtasks from onboarding to the full employee life cycle, including PDPs,performance management, training, and formal HR processes.### Key Knowledge, Experience & QualificationsThe successful candidate must have previous leadership experience in a similarrestaurant or volume driven F&B; environment, along with strong guest-facingskills, handling a variety of queries and resolving complaints directly. Experienced in generating new opportunities through sales and promotions, andadapting to working with multi-skilled teams to support various business areasbased on guest demand. Demonstrable experience in leading teams to success is crucial, includingmanaging performance, coaching, delivering training, and setting standardswhile role-modelling expected behaviours.
