About the Role:
IntSol Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Buildings Safety & Compliance Administrator on behalf of a well-established housing management service provider that has operated in the market for 25 years, now managing over 3,000 properties across the UK.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Building Safety & Compliance Administrator to oversee the compliance and safety aspects of an established but growing portfolio of properties. Initially managing approximately 30 hotels, with plans for expansion, you will play a key role in ensuring that all properties remain fully compliant with relevant safety regulations and best practices. You will also oversee a number of residential properties within the portfolio.
This is an office-based role in Highams Park, with occasional site visits as required. You will report to the Health & Safety Officer, who is based on-site, and work closely with property managers, maintenance teams, and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all hotels and residential properties within the portfolio comply with fire, health & safety, and building regulations.
- Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks to identify and mitigate risks.
- Monitor and manage statutory compliance across properties, ensuring all certifications, inspections, and safety records are up to date (e.g., fire safety certificates, gas safety, electrical safety, water hygiene, etc.).
- Develop and implement health & safety policies to align with best practices and legal requirements.
- Work closely with hotel managers and property teams to ensure remedial actions are taken promptly to address compliance concerns.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, local authorities, and third-party contractors to facilitate safety inspections and audits.
- Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and records to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to site teams on safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Stay updated with legislation changes affecting building safety and advise on necessary adjustments.
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and fire safety strategies.
- Report on compliance status, issues, and action plans to the Health & Safety Officer and wider Team as required.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK building safety regulations, fire safety, and compliance standards.
- Experience managing compliance for multiple properties, preferably within the hospitality or residential sectors.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with property managers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with on-site teams.
- Proficiency in maintaining compliance records and reporting.
- Working knowledge of health & safety management systems and relevant software is desirable.
