Building Surveyor Permanent Opportunity via BRC Jobs:                Building Surveyor   Location:        Devon (Hybrid working) Sector:            Property and Housing Job Type:        Permanent Salary:             £38,850    Are you looking for a new role in surveying?We are currently looking for a building surveyor based in Devon to join a Housing Association on a permanent basis to assist them in carrying out stock condition surveys to improve the energy performance.    Main Responsibilities:  

You will be responsible for carrying out stock condition surveys to the housing association’s stock in South Devon.

Arranging and undertaking energy performance surveys and assessments, assisting with the delivery of energy improvement works to stock

Review the lifecycle and renewing of windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms and general cyclical decorations

Undertake risk assessments in accordance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) and action any findings as appropriate.

Carry out surveys and prepare work specifications and schedules, liaising with contractors and arranging for works to be carried out

Ensure works are in-line with CDM regulations

Identify and issue party wall and other notices when required

Responsible for identifying the presence of asbestos and organise the removal in both void and tenanted properties

To certify interim and final accounts in respect of contract/works under supervision in accordance with approved Financial Regulations.

liaise and communicate with tenants, tenant groups, leaseholders and tenant associations ensuring through good management, high customer satisfaction returns

  Job Requirements

• A full UK Driving Licence
• HND/HNC in surveying or previous experience in a similar role
