A well-established charitable organisation which has operated for over a century and based in SW London is looking for a Bursar to run the finance of a busy facility in South West London. You’ll be leading the day-to-day running of the centre, working across multiple function.

Based in leafy South West London, the offices have great public transport links, plenty of restaurants and great routes for a lunchtime walk - perfect for the hot weather! The charity has a welcoming atmosphere with a warm and friendly team.

This Bursar position is an initial Temp to Perm opportunity with a salary of up to £17 ph plus benefits. As the successful Bursar, you will:

  • Act as main contact for external suppliers, arranging, managing, and reviewing service contracts, agreements, licences, and certifications routinely.
  • Ensuring the property is maintained internally and externally on a regular basis.
  • Respond to and follow up bookings as approved by senior management.
  • Manage all staff from recruitment through to induction, supervision, appraisal, training and development - organising staff rotas and leave on a regular basis.
  • Manage day-to-day budget for the office, presenting senior management with monthly financial reports as well as regular expenditure updates.
  • Effective management of financial systems, petty cash, payment of wages and financial administration.

To be the successful Bursar, you should have

  • Prior experience in a similar role; preferably gained at a charitable organisation
  • Experience managing financial and administrative systems
  • Good MS Office skills
  • An eye for detail and a flexible approach to tasks.

In return, you will receive a salary of up to £35,000 (£17p/h). This is a temp to perm opportunity of 3 months, after which you will be offered a permanent contract. The working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. Apply today, start next week!
