Contract Business Analyst – Telecoms Transformation (12-Month Fixed Term)Location: Hybrid / HuddersfieldContract Length: 12 monthsCompensation: Competitive fixed rate plus performance-based completion bonus

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the transformation and migration to our new unified communications solution. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideal for a professional with a strong background in unified communications projects and digital transformation.

As the Business Analyst, you will work alongside other Business Analysts and be responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring seamless alignment between technical implementation and business needs. Your insights will be key to driving efficiency, minimising risk, and ensuring a smooth transition for the business. To incentivise success, we offer a completion bonus based on key performance and delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements for the unified communications transformation project.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to enhance engagement whilst capturing user needs, pain points, and process improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams and vendors.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Business and Technical Project Managers, and third-party suppliers to ensure requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of test plans and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Identify potential risks and dependencies and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and other documentation to support engagement, training and transition.
  • Ensure business readiness by assisting in training, change management, and post-implementation support.

About you

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within telecoms or unified communications projects.
  • Strong ability to gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements.
  • Experience with business process analysis and improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in contract-based or fixed-term project roles.
  • Knowledge of Five9 or Exponential-E systems.
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance frameworks in the telecoms sector.
