Business Analyst - Digital

Salary: £44,049 - £46,156 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: Walsall, West Midlands

Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week (minimum two days in the office)

Closing Date: 14th March 2025

We’re looking for a Business Analyst – Digital to join our team and support the delivery of cutting-edge digital projects. You’ll play a key role in identifying business needs, mapping processes, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology-driven solutions

Main job responsibilities:

  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and gather feedback from end users to continue improving systems.
  • Develop and analyse functional specifications and design efficient IT systems to meet business and technology needs.
  • Coordinate resources to build and implement technology solutions and integrate multiple systems whilst reconciling the needs of different teams.
  • Gather feedback from end users about system performance.
  • Plan and oversee projects (e.g. upgrades, hardware/software installations)
  • See problems through to conclusion, irrespective of delay, opposition, diversion or lack of product knowledge.
  • Take ownership and responsibility to identify issues and risks and drive stakeholders to resolution and management of these.
  • Storyboard and lead the solution scoping process whilst ensuring all stakeholders are informed and clear on project activity/involvement.
  • Understand technical concepts and models and communicate at both a technical and non-technical level using a range of communication skills, including presentation skills to suit the subject matter and the audience. 
  • Use problem solving and analytical skills to assist the team to identify and remove obstacles.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • Considerable proven experience as a Business Analyst in IT or Technology environments. 
  • Appropriate certification in Business Analysis for example BCS or considerable demonstrable related experience. 
  • Previous experience of working on programmes and large projects.
  • The ability to be very flexible and work autonomously, with the ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment with limited direction.
  • Previous involvement in a Cloud Migration/Network upgrade/refresh/Cybersecurity environment with a thorough understanding of terminology.
  • Previous experience of working on projects involving recovery and resilience, Business Continuity, DR.
  • The ability to produce NFRs/FR’s/Business Requirements/ Themes/ Epics/ User Stories at a programme level and how they delineate and how they are derived.
  • An ability to understand and interpret key metrics in subjects such as networks, data, CyberSec, DR, Business Continuity.
  • Experience of workshop design and facilitation.
  • Proven experience in AS-IS and TO-BE Process and Blueprint production
  • Experience of working within Waterfall environments and AGILE Environments with significant experience in both.
  • Experience prioritising deliverables using MoSCoW or similar techniques;
  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure, Networking, databases, system security and troubleshooting.
  • Experience migrating on-prem systems to SaaS and other Cloud based solutions;
  • Experience with Office 365 rollout including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.
