We are looking to offer a Business Architect the opportunity to join our expanding IT Architecture team based in Stevenage About the team:The Group Architecture team, part of the wider IT function, currently consists of eight architecture specialists (Enterprise, Information, Technical, and Solution) and supports the realisation of the organisations strategic objectives through the creation of a scalable, secure and resilient architecture. With an open and collaborative culture and unwavering focus on doing what is right for our clients and colleagues alike, the team sits at the forefront of delivering strategic technology change.About the role:You will design, align, and optimise the business processes, capabilities, and resources of our organisation in accordance with our strategic goals and vision. As the Business Architect you will collaborate with various stakeholders, such as senior management, partners, customers, suppliers, and IT teams. To understand the current and future business needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and propose solutions that deliver value and enable change. You will also ensure that the business architecture is consistent, coherent, and compliant with the relevant standards, policies, and regulations.*A flexible working environment where hybrid working has been embedded.   • Understanding the current and future state of the business, its goals, challenges, opportunities, and drivers.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to elicit, analyse, and validate business requirements, processes, and priorities.
  • Providing guidance and oversight to ensure the alignment and integration of business and IT architectures and solutions.
  • Defining and communicating the business value and outcomes of IT solutions and services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and metrics
  • Providing guidance and oversight to IT solution architects and developers, ensuring compliance with the business architecture principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Evaluating and assessing the impact of changes in the business environment, technology trends, and IT portfolio on the business architecture.

What you'll bring?

  • Project management, business analysis and problem-solving skills
  • A broad, enterprise-wide appreciation of business strategy, processes, capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
  • Extensive experience in modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  • Expertise in business architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture concepts, domains, and frameworks
  • Experience of developing Target operating Models and Value Stream Analysis.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a Business Architect or Senior Business Analyst role
  • University Degree preferably in a business or technical subject or any comparable education
