Connect Housing is a housing association dedicated to providing quality, affordable homes and services to the community.
With a strong focus on sustainability, customer service, and community development, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.
We are now looking for a Business Assurance Officer to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a Business Assurance Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping us ensure we comply with legal and regulatory requirements, by providing support to the organisation to manage risk through administration relating to data protection, health and safety and other regulatory and legal compliance areas. You will also play a role in looking ahead to political, socio-economic and/or sector changes that might impact Connect.
No two days are the same in this role - so you’ll enjoy lots of variety - however we can say that some of the tasks of a Connect Business Assurance Officer might look something like this:
• Attend, contribute and take minutes at a Health and Safety Meeting
• Update risk registers
• Review a policy to check it’s still in line with legal and regulatory requirements
• Assist in an investigation relating to an accident at work
• Meet a member of the HR Team to discuss training that is needed for compliance purposes
You don’t need any formal qualifications for this role. What we are looking for is someone who is organised, curious, efficient, helpful and keen to make a positive difference. In addition the candidate will benefit from having the following:
• Experience: Proven experience in writing policies, and setting up ways to record compliance activities e.g. data breaches, accidents and incidents.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyse and present information clearly
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Collaboration: A team player with a proactive approach and the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation.
Why Join Us? At Connect Housing we offer a supportive, inclusive, and flexible working environment. We are committed to investing in our staff, providing opportunities for career development and continuous learning. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in a values-driven organisation that positively impacts the community.
Closing date: Monday 7 October 2024.
Early applications are encouraged as we may close the role early depending on number/quality of applications. We have made the application process as easy as possible so please don’t delay your application. We look forward to hearing from you.
