ACR is working with a market-leading business based in Wigan to recruit a Business Development Executive on a full-time and permanent basis. This opportunity offers a huge 36 days of annual leave, flexible hours & hybrid working, free parking and uncapped commission.
My client is a marketing company that offers discounts to members, working with brands such as JD Sports, Apple, Hotpoint & Boohoo. The purpose of this role is to bring on new partners that can offer discounts to members. It's a win-win situation as my client only takes a commission if the brand partner makes money, so it's a much softer sell than other business development roles.
There is limited cold calling, most of the leads are warm and most of the outreach is done via email. We are seeking an experienced Business Development candidate who is confident speaking to clients over video calls and presenting commercial information & numbers to customers.
Salary & Benefits:
- Starting salary of £30,000-£33,000 per annum
- Uncapped commission
- Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week (Flexible hours) - Start between 7:30-9:30 and finish between 15:30-17:30, with either a 30 or 60-min lunch. Any extra hours worked through the week can be taken off Friday.
- Flexible hybrid working. Must go to the office once per month. Can work from home up to 5 days per week.

What will be expected of you:
The main purpose of this role is to contact warm leads, maintain a lead pipeline, contact prospective partners, negotiate exclusive discounts and successfully bring on new clients.
- Be a primary point of contact for potential new partners, building relationships & rapport
- Help to manage and maintain a new business pipeline
- Utilise the CRM Lead Management system
- Analyse competitor data to make sure the businesses have a competitive advantage both in terms of the partners and the discounts offered
- Identify key decision-makers at potential partners and make contact via telephone, email, LinkedIn etc
- Liaise regularly with internal teams such as the Partnerships Team
- Negotiate and secure a strong level of discounts for the members and commercial terms
- Keep market knowledge up to date
The successful candidate will have:
- Business Development experience is essential
- Negotiation experience (Not working on a fixed price sheet)
- Exceptional communication skills
- Positive, friendly & collaborative attitude
- Track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
- High attention to detail, with an analytical mindset
