This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and accomplished Business Development professional to join a dynamic international law firm, to support and advise the EME Corporate group.
The successful applicant will be joining a firm dedicated to helping clients move their businesses forward. This position sits within a growing and energetic firm-wide business development and marketing team and will include supervision of one BD Executive. Working alongside a US-based Senior BD Manager for the Corporate Group. the Business Development Manager will drive and implement the business development tactics for the firm’s Corporate EME group. You will liaise across other practice groups, industry groups and task forces with a primary focus on enhancing the firm’s profile, strengthening relationships with key clients and creating opportunities for collaboration across groups. While predominantly an EME-based role, the role holder will work with peers throughout the globe, liaising with both BD and partners worldwide. This individual will carry through with project planning and ROI measurement, staying close to market trends and maintaining an awareness of competitors. You will provide strategic and tactical support to drive revenue through a full spectrum of marketing and BD efforts, including bids, client targeting, market research and client analysis, profile raising and events, brand positioning, marketing collateral and communications and submissions for major awards and legal directories.
Proactive and self-motivated, the ideal candidate will be a bright graduate or equivalent with previous business development experience and demonstrated project leadership, gained whilst working in a law firm or professional services organisation, to include working successfully both independently and within teams in a collaborative environment. Extremely detail oriented, self-directed and able to independently manage and appropriately prioritise multiple projects and competing priorities under tight deadlines, sometimes with minimal oversight, the Business Development Manager will also be able to demonstrate a strong ability to interact and influence members of a large organisation and comfort in establishing effective firmwide working relationships with individuals at all levels.
