The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of commercial markets. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth and establishing long-term relationships with our clients. The role is a start up department within the company so they are looking at the bonus commission structure. This can be discussed at interview. Overall Objectives Key Responsibilities:New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals. Develop a robust pipeline of prospective clients to drive sales growth.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture relationships with new and existing commercial clients. Understand their unique insurance needs and provide tailored solutions to meet those needs.
Sales Presentations:
- Conduct engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients. Clearly articulate the value of our insurance products and services.
Negotiation and Closing:
- Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to secure profitable deals. Employ effective closing techniques to convert leads into customers and meet or exceed sales targets.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and client needs. Utilise this knowledge to develop effective sales strategies.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with Head of Sales and Insurers to facilitate smooth policy issuance and address client inquiries. Ensure that clients receive exceptional service throughout the sales process.
Sales Performance Tracking:
- Utilise CRM software to track sales activities, manage leads, and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and new product offerings. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills.
QualificationsSkills:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in commercial insurance or related industry with a record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
- Results oriented mindset with a strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to influence and persuade clients effectively, using tailored sales pitches and value propositions that resonate with their needs.
