The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and contributing to the company’s growth strategy. You’ll work closely with the Managing Director to secure new partnerships and drive revenue, supported by a hybrid working model. The role requires the ability to reliably commute to the head office in Margate 2-3 times per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Identification:
    • Research and target new business opportunities.
    • Analyse market trends and news to identify potential clients and industries.
    • Make initial approaches to establish relationships with prospects.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Collaborate with the Managing Director to close deals and ensure client satisfaction.
  • CRM and Data Management:
    • Maintain and update the CRM system with client and market data.
    • Use insights from the CRM to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Contribute to the company’s market growth strategy by analysing trends and competition.
    • Identify opportunities to expand services across the medical, marine, automotive, and industrial electronics sectors.

About You

You’re a driven and strategic thinker with a strong background in business development and relationship management. Your communication and negotiation skills are second to none, and you thrive in environments where collaboration and initiative are key.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven success in business development, sales, and relationship management.
  • Strong strategic planning and market analysis skills.
  • Experience in the electronic manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and ISO13485 standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the Margate head office 2-3 times per week.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
