Job Description :

Business Development Manager to continue client expansion in the South East for this tools infrastructure firm. This highly successful business, specialising in monitoring equipment is looking for a BDM to work from home & on the road.

Paying up to £85,000 comp + uncapped commission.

The Business Development Manager will have proven experience building strong client relationships and securing new business opportunities. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and cultivating prospects, managing the sales pipeline, and driving revenue growth. Must have a background in Business Development within water, energy, oil & gas, transportation or telecommunications. Ability to get up to speed on technical products and associated SaaS product lines is important.

This is a sales position that would suit a Sales executive or Business development manager unafraid of hunting new business.Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing client contracts. Upselling solutions to monetise where possible.
  • Develop and implement a robust business development strategy to grow expanding presence in the South East region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including networking, cold outreach, and attending industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and aligning solutions to meet them.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

About You

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or a similar role, ideally within water, energy, oil & gas, transportation and /or telecommunications
  • Strong network within these sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver solutions.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across the region.
