What will I be doing?
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be responsible for identifying industry specific new business opportunities with an annual spend of £0.15m+. Fostering relationships with potential clients, and driving business growth.This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
The main responsibilities within the are Business Development Manager:
Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and potential new markets to identify new business opportunities.
Develop Business Strategies: Create and implement effective business development strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth through targeted sales initiatives, negotiation, and closing deals. Working to a remit of £0.15m + opportunities.
Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitive landscape.
Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand professional connections.
Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals and presentations to prospective clients
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive efforts towards business growth.
Reporting: Regularly report on business development activities, progress towards targets, and market feedback to senior management.
Project Management: Oversee and manage business development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcome.
Skills needed for a Business Development Manager:
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Conditional job offers are subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
