Business Development Manager | Homeworker | Permanent

Salary: £55,000 plus car allowance

Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday

What will I be doing?

As a Business Development Manager (BDM) you will be responsible for identifying industry specific new business opportunities with an annual spend of £0.15m+. Fostering relationships with potential clients, and driving business growth.This role involves strategic planning, market analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

The main responsibilities within the are Business Development Manager:

  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and potential new markets to identify new business opportunities.

  • Develop Business Strategies: Create and implement effective business development strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.

  • Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Drive sales and revenue growth through targeted sales initiatives, negotiation, and closing deals. Working to a remit of £0.15m + opportunities.

  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to stay informed about industry trends, market demands, and competitive landscape.

  • Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and expand professional connections.

  • Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals and presentations to prospective clients

  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other departments to ensure cohesive efforts towards business growth.

  • Reporting: Regularly report on business development activities, progress towards targets, and market feedback to senior management.

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage business development projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcome.

Skills needed for a Business Development Manager:

  • Proven successful new business achievement and revenue growth of customer portfolio with budgets of multiple £ms.
  • Proven ability to successfully negotiate logistic contracts
  • Strategic Planning, ability to develop and implement long-term business strategies
  • Demonstrates entrepreneurial mindset whilst considering business processes, corporate finance management and accounting principles
  • Demonstrates superior cross functional knowledge of complex business environments and uses judgment to effect positive change
  • Proven success in client implementation programmes and client exit management preserving a positive corporate reputation
  • Proven success in delivering margin/revenue growth in line with business strategy
  • Manage multiple assignments/projects in a complex, fast paced B2B business environment
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of CRM’s (preferably Salesforce) Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
