Business Development Manager - Plastics

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 Basic Salary Plus Bonus, Bens & Car

Our client is a renowned compnay within the plastics manufacturing & engineering market place to the automotive world , established for over 20 years specialises in product development.

You will be a talented and motivated business development manager from the plastics manufacturing or engineering world with the drive, desire & experience to become part of this growing business and enjoy the benefits of its continued success.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years in Business Development from the plastics engineering or Manufacturing industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong track record already in technical sales and be able to demonstrate they have previously increased revenue and their client base
  • Previous experience of automtove manufacturing is advantageous but not essential as training is given. More importance will be given to the range of relevant experience and past success
  • The candidate will also be expected to arrange onsite factory visits - getting involved in any ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • Strong motivation and drive to succeed to maximum potential are essential
  • A natural curiosity to hunt for new business opportunities with both new and regular clients
  • Persuasive personality with a hard-headed approach - somebody who is not easily defeated
  • Works well under pressure to hit regular deadlines
  • Attention to detail - good organisational skills
  • Able to work independently and also be a team player when required
  • Ideally you will have used a CRM system before and be used to accurately complete sales documentation and keep systems updated

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

  • Proactivley seeking new business via new and exisiting customers.
  • To keep abreast of all company products and services and have an in-depth knowledge of them in order to market and sell effectively
  • Develop a defined Midlands territory with a mix of existing clients, and grow the territory with the acquisition of new clients
  • Increase revenues and achieve sales growth by hitting targets and objectives.
  • Develop our range of products and services and maximise the opportunity to take new products to market when they are launched
  • To take the initiative and be proactive in coming forward with innovative new sales ideas
