Job Description :

We are working on behalf of one of the UK's premier mortgage brokerages who are looking for a business development manager to deal with their extensive introducer network across the country.

The Role

Responsible for generating high quality client referrals through creating, maintaining and enhancing relationships with businesses whose clients have a need for mortgages and/or protection advice. This would include managing introducer relationships

This role would be home or office based, and would require travel

Key accountabilities

  • Secure existing relationships through the transition of these from the outgoing BDM
  • Ensure all volume Introducers to have Introducer agreements in place
  • Standardised process to be put in place for Introductions and progress updates
  • Identification of key market segments, and propose plan of action to grow this channel
  • Focus on the AR Hubs to encourage wider adoption of their services
  • Work with the Marketing team to enhance the materials to facilitate both the capture of new relationships and growth of existing relationships
  • Delivery of year-on-year growth in referral volumes
  • Responsible for ensuring Introducer relationships meet agreed commercial hurdles
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of referred clients
  • Ensuring regular meetings take place with key Introducers
  • Provision of regular market updates to Introducers
  • Supporting the allocation of referrals to brokers with appropriate specialisms
  • Sharing internally key market insights gained through the Introducer relationships
  • Provision of performance updates

Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of the Mortgage industry and market
  • Ability to maintain and enhance existing relationships
  • Ability to identify and on-board new referral producing relationships
  • Good knowledge of the Wealth Management sector
  • Good knowledge of the Estate Agency sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity
  • IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

As well as experienced BDMs, this role would also suit someone with a successful track record in mortgages ( sales ) who is looking to get into Business development.

The base salary is up to £55,000 with an outstanding reward package taking your realistic income to £100,000 or above

Salary : 50000 - 100000
