Job Description :

Swift Specialist Recruitment are seeking a BDM of multimodal freight, for a trusted client of ours who are a well established global logistics company based in the North West UK.

This role is hybrid working & will suit individuals within a 30 mile radius of Warrington.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the multimodal freight forwarding market.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and customer base.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competition, and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their logistics needs.
  • Achieve sales targets by promoting multimodal freight solutions to prospective clients.
  • Develop pricing strategies and negotiate contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless coordination across different modes of transport.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., marketing, finance, and operations) to develop competitive offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, global trade trends, and technological advancements in logistics.
  • Provide insights to help shape company policies and services.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business growth and client satisfaction.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and market developments.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Understanding of multimodal transportation, customs regulations, and global trade practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Relationship-building skills and customer-centric approach.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office Suite, and logistics management systems.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary : 30000 - 50000
