Our client, an asset management business with both public and private products based in London, is seeking a Business Development/Sales Director to drive their strategic growth initiatives.
This senior position will play a crucial role in expanding the firm's market presence and developing new business relationships predominantly across the UK institutional landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales and distribution strategies to enhance the firm's market position and secure new business opportunities, with particular focus on UK institutional mandates, including the LGPS/local government pension schemes and DC/defined contribution/master trusts
- Lead the promotion and distribution of flagship investment solutions within private markets as well as fiduciary offering
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with institutional investors, investment consultants, and key industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with investment teams to create impactful marketing materials, including pitch decks, RFP/due diligence documentation, and thought leadership content
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to develop targeted messaging and coordinate industry events
- Manage and mentor junior business development professionals, fostering their growth and contribution to team success
Requirements
- Extensive experience in UK institutional asset management with a proven track record of successful business development
- Deep understanding of the UK institutional investment landscape, particularly in the LGPS/local government pension scheme and DC/defined contribution/master trust sectors
- Previous experience with private markets products/asset classes as beneficial
