Job Description :

Assure Personnel are supporting a local company to hire for a Finance Business Partner to join the team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial strategy and operations of their group of companies. This role involves working closely with various departments to provide financial insights, drive performance improvements, and support decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

Business Partnering:

  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and drive business performance.
  • Develop strong working relationships across the organisation, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial finance-related matters.
  • Attend weekly management meetings and quarterly offsite strategy sessions.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals.
  • Analyse financial performance and provide monthly reporting, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support business areas in understanding and managing their financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Support cost control initiatives, monitor cost trends, and provide analysis on cost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support key business decisions, including capital investments, pricing strategies, and operational improvements.

Financial Modelling and Scenario Planning:

  • Build and maintain financial models to assess business performance and support decision-making.
  • Perform scenario analysis to evaluate potential business initiatives, projects, and risks.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, performance dashboards, and variance analyses to senior management.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement.

Performance Management and Reporting:

  • Feed into the monthly Finance Reporting pack for use within the Board.
  • Analyse financial and operational performance, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to optimise results.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports for key stakeholders.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with department heads on their performance against budget and forecast, identifying any trends, anomalies, and actions.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and drive value.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified ACCA or CIMA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and financial software (e.g. Sage / Excel).
  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Salary:

  • £60,000 - £65,000 per year based on experience
