- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lectures and seminars in Business Studies, including areas such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Provide academic guidance, feedback, and pastoral support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Develop and update course materials to align with curriculum requirements and industry trends.
- Engage in continuous professional development to ensure the highest teaching standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and college events.
- Contribute to curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance student employability prospects.
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in teaching Business Studies at Further Education (FE) or Higher Education (HE) level.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Up-to-date knowledge of business practices and industry developments.
- Proficiency in using digital learning tools and virtual learning environments (VLEs).
Desirable Attributes:
- A master’s degree or higher qualification in a business-related discipline.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment design.
- Industry experience in business, marketing, finance, or entrepreneurship.
- Familiarity with Ofsted requirements and quality assurance processes in education.
