The Procurement & Contract Management Service have an exciting, new opportunity to join their team.
The service is a strategic enabling function that leads on Council-wide procurement policy and strategy, providing professional expertise and support to commercial staff undertaking procurement and contract management activity across the Council.
The Opportunity
Salary: £35,235 to £37,938 per annum
Working Pattern: Full time, 37 hours per week
Location: County Hall, Chichester and hybrid working
Interview date: w/c 17 February 2025
As the Business Process Improvement Officer, working as part of a team, your role will contribute to the development and implementation of innovation and new "best practice" ways of working, including identifying opportunities for efficiency, digitisation, and continuous improvement across all aspects of Procurement policy, strategy, and operational practice.
You will support the development and implementation of best practice policy and processes across procurement and contract management in line with UK legislation.
You will support assigned Procurement and Contract Management improvement and change initiatives (projects) to deliver high quality improvement outcomes within target timescales. This will involve working both independently and collaboratively to undertake a range of design, development, and analytical activity to discover relevant information about processes and services, provide input to new design models, assess options and draft proposals, track progress, identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies in support of continuous improvement.
