About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable and dynamic accountancy firm, seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

Client Portfolio Management:
- Lead, manage, and optimise a portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Handle day-to-day management of client accounts and the team members working on them, reporting directly to the partners.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and support junior staff and contractors, ensuring high performance and quality work.
- Assist with the training and professional development of both new and existing staff members.
- Delegate routine tasks to junior team members, reviewing their work and providing technical guidance.

Technical and Advisory Work:
- Prepare management accounts and board reports for clients.
- Implement and improve cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
- Oversee the preparation of VAT returns and statutory accounts.
- Continuously drive innovation in accounting systems and processes, ensuring the firm stays ahead of industry changes.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional client service, coupled with a deep understanding of accounting technology and systems. They should be able to manage a portfolio of clients while leading a team of professionals to success.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in practice.
- At least 1 year's experience managing team members and clients.
- Strong IT skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with cloud accounting packages such as Xero and QuickBooks.
- A proactive attitude towards innovation and improving accounting processes.
- Wide range of sector experience is highly desirable.
