Job Location : Killerton, UK
Reporting into and working closely with the Regional Director for the South West, you will work with our Regional Management team where you will proactively contribute to and help shape business planning at a strategic level for the region.
You’ll manage and lead a team of business services professionals to deliver efficient and effective business support across the South West, providing direction, priorities, coaching and feedback, and bridging the gap between front line and strategic delivery. This is a key role in ensuring new systems and processes are implemented and work effectively for all our teams, and you’ll often be consulted by members of our leadership team at our properties to share your professional knowledge and advice to help their teams work most effectively. In addition, you will work with the broader regional business services community nationally to share knowledge and great practice.
You’ll play a key role as a member of the regional management team which, as well as effective strategic business planning, will include the management and tracking of the annual business plan, providing timely and accurate analysis and co-ordination of internal and external data requests, collating and submitting reports and papers. You’ll also be responsible for your own budgets, support the Regional Director with regional management team budgeting and have overall facilities management of our four regional office bases.
Who we're looking forWe are looking for an experienced people manager and leader with a breadth of business services knowledge and experience gained within complex organisations. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
•Experience of working with and within senior leadership teams and making a proactive contribution to their success
•People management experience including recruitment, motivation and management of teams across multiple sites
•Strong team working and collaboration, someone who builds relationships and is open, constructive and proactive in sharing knowledge
•Someone who is confident, highly organised and client-focused, with great communication skills and is comfortable working at pace
•You’ll pride yourself on delivering clear, consistent and constructive business services advice and leadership
•Up-to-date knowledge of business administration, records and archives, systems and processes through your relevant experience and / or a qualification in Business and Administration equivalent to NVQ level 4
