Role Overview: As Business to Marketing Director, you will lead the development, deployment, and evaluation of our framework to maximise business opportunities in both B2C and B2B markets, with a particular emphasis on B2B. Your efforts will support the delivery of our Strategic Plan and strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Planning: Design and manage the delivery of operational plans to support growth in direct student recruitment both domestically and internationally.
- Multi-Channel Recruitment: Develop and oversee multi-channel operational plans to ensure growth and sustainability in student recruitment through partnerships, both domestically and internationally.
- Access and Participation: Play a key role in delivering the Access and Participation Plan (APP) and developing initiatives to attract a diverse applicant base for all courses.
- Business Engagement: Design and manage operational plans to build the business engagement portfolio through enterprise and innovation activities, including knowledge exchange, commercialisation, and continuing professional development (CPD).
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Business to Markets service staff, fostering an inclusive culture in line with the organisation's values, and ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all team members.
- Executive Leadership: As a member of the Executive Board, demonstrate collective ownership and leadership to deliver our business sustainably.
Person Specification:
- Commercial Acumen: Strong focus on B2B and B2C markets with a commercial mindset. Higher education experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Sales Expertise: Proven ability to understand and drive sales value, with a track record of transforming teams and achieving commercial success in both B2B and B2C environments.
- Sector Experience: Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in different sectors, bringing valuable culture change to the organisation.
- Leadership: Experience in leading and managing teams, with a playbook of successful strategies.
- Strategic Vision: Ability to contribute to the university's strategic goals without the need for restructuring, focusing on building and growing post-restructure.
