Buyer/Category Manager - Portfolio Procurement : Job Details

Portfolio Procurement have been engaged by a global FMCG company to recruit a Buyer/Category Manager. Experience of sourcing finished products in a fast passed industry is highly desirable.

The role:

• Developing and managing relationships with existing suppliers
• Developing new products with existing and new suppliers
• Sourcing and engaging reliable new suppliers.
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers to ensure they are optimized.
• Reviewing forecasts to ensure stock levels are optimized.

Requirements:

• Degree Educated
• Knowledge of dealing in FMCG goods
• Experience of managing global supply chains
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and processes
• In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
• Analytical mindset
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of budgeting and forecasting
