Description
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
Profile
A successful 'Buyer' should have:
- Proven working experience as a buyer in the retail industry.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel.
- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Experience in collecting and analysing data.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
Job Offer
The Buyer will receive the following;
- Competitive salary ranging between £38,000 - £45,000 per year.
- Hybrid working model, with 3 days in office (Bristol) and 2 days from home.
- Flexible working hours, with key hours between 9am - 3.30pm.
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
