Buyer - ST Selection : Job Details

We are recruiting for a Buyer for a leading manufacturing company in the Burton on Trent area.More details on the role below:Company - Leading manufacturing company with a global brand nameJob Title - BuyerLocation - Burton On Trent areaSalary - Up to £38K + benefitsHour - 7.30am-4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30am-12.30pm FridayRole

• Respond to MRP and requisition generated demands and issuing requests for quotation
• Placement of orders in line with the company delegated authority procedures.
• Maintain stock item, purchase order & supplier records.
• Using reports to identify potential shortages in the flow of key components.
• Re-scheduling of components to prevent under/over stocking.
• Supplier relationship management
• Cost saving and product improvement initiatives
• Expediting , rejects and returns
• Invoice queries
• Attend Production, Quality and Safety meetings

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years purchasing experience
• Experience of MRP systems
• Strong IT skills including advance MS Excel
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Desirable – CIPS qualification and sage experience
