A prestigious manufacturing company are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services that meet the organisation's needs while ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong negotiation skills, an understanding of supply chain processes, and proficiency in various procurement systems. This company are based just outside of Stockport Town Centre in modern, open plan offices, boasting on site ping pong/pool tables and free parking. What will you be doing as a Buyer?

• Identify and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing for goods and services
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements
• Manage logistics to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining optimal inventory levels
• Collaborate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Utilise procurement systems such as SAGE, MRP, CRM for order processing and supplier management
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings or improvements
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data to support decision-making processes

We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

• Must have proven experience working as a Buyer
• Proficiency in procurement systems such as SAGE, MRP, CRM is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and logistics operations
• Excellent analytical skills to assess supplier performance and market trends effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey information clearly and effectively
