At Hydro we are committed to supporting you in your continuous technical and professional development to enable you to keep your skills and knowledge up to date and to support you in your advancement within the business.About the role:The role of the Buyer is responsible for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational needs are met, considering price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. The buyer is responsible for purchasing activities within HYDRO UK.These activities will include purchasing goods and managing UK Suppliers for Business Unit (BU) Tooling, Service and GSE and the new assembly function.  The role will also be responsible for liaising internally with UK Business units and the HYDRO KG purchasing team.Accountabilities:·Managing relationships with key suppliers·Supply market analysis·Vendor and contract management·Risk management·Achieving cost savings while ensuring the best supply base for the companyKey Tasks & Responsibilities:·Oversee the Supplier RFQ process for all HYDRO UK Business and HYDRO KG UK Supply Chain requirements.·Issue and track RFQs, collaborating with the relevant business unit on cost and lead times.·Check quotes for completeness and competitiveness.·Convert demand into purchase requisitions and orders for timely material availability.·Drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations without compromising on quality or delivery.·Act as the first point of contact for external suppliers regarding RFQs, orders, and change controls.·Maintain supplier information on SAP and monitor performance (on-time delivery and quality).·Work with suppliers on improvement projects.·Communicate across HYDRO Purchasing departments globally.·Report KPIs and escalate issues to the Team Lead Purchasing weekly.·Perform any other duties as assigned by the Team Lead Purchasing.Key Skills and Experience:·CIPS Level 5 or above, or a similar qualification·3-5 years’ procurement experience·Technical purchasing knowledge·Experience in supplier qualification, auditing, and corrective actions·Experience in the aerospace or engineering industry (advantageous)·Strong team player with flexibility to adapt to changing targets·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills·Global sourcing experience·Proven project management experience·Strong negotiation skills·Valid passport and willingness to travel as required·Full UK driving licenceYou may also have experience in the following: Procurement Specialist, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Buyer, Strategic Sourcing Buyer, Supplier Relationship Manager, Aerospace Buyer, Procurement Coordinator, Sourcing Manager, Vendor Manager, Supply Chain Analyst, Technical Purchaser, Materials Buyer, Contract Manager, RFQ Coordinator, Procurement Lead, Purchasing Officer, Supplier Performance Manager, Procurement Executive, Aerospace Procurement Specialist, Contract Negotiator, Supply Chain Planner, Global Sourcing Specialist, etc.REF-219 470
