My client is currently seeking an experienced Buying Assistant to join their growing team in Trowbridge. You will be playing a vital role within the department, as you will be supporting the team with various aspects of the procurement process.

Duties:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize value and efficiency
• Work closely with various teams
• Manage and maintain accurate supplier records to support key business initiatives
• Contribute to sustainability projects and promote ethical sourcing practices
• Prepare and manage annual contracts
• Assist the Finance team with invoice checking, query resolution, and data collection
• Collect and analyse supplier performance data

Person Specification:

• Previous purchasing/buying/administration experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and to timescales
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 39 hours per week and free on-site parking is available.

Due to the client's location having your own transport would be beneficial.
