Job Description :

Are you a Project Assistant based in the south-east, who enjoys working to reach targets and seeing a plan come together? If so, join Elysium Healthcare as a CAPEX Project Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Capital Construction Developments team to support the operational delivery of the CAPEX Construction developments across the country. 

As you work 37.5 hours a week, you will enjoy the combination of working from home, with travel into our Borehamwood Head Office, where you will support the planning, implementation, and delivery of projects in line with Elysium Healthcare’s CAPEX development plan. Travel to other parts of England and Wales will be required.

As CAPEX Project Assistant, you will need to have a quality orientated attitude, an eye for detail and be up to any problem-solving challenge as you provide support to the CAPEX Project Managers and Commercial Projects Director in achieving projects against time, quality and cost. You will be working from home, visiting development sites, talking to contractors, consultants and Elysium staff alike.

There is a development path within the CAPEX Project group which can be applied to this role with the aim to develop skills and experience relating to Mental Health Developments.

As a CAPEX Project Assistant, you will be:

  • Supporting with FFE Processes – quote enquiries, raising PO’s, receipting invoices
  • Supporting CAPEX Finance Management - quote enquiries, raising PO’s, receipting invoices
  • Attending site meeting to support Project Managers
  • Supporting with adding new Suppliers onto Unit 4
  • Supporting CAPEX updates, Minute-taking and Action Planning
  • Supporting with the creation of CQC Documentation
  • Being a point of contact for sites – Defects, Enquiries, Snagging ad Completion
  • Working closely with the entire development team - architects, consultants, general managers, and construction team.
  • Researching products, building codes and procedures to help improve the end-user experience
  • Administrative assistance with the tender process where appropriate
  • Supporting the collation of Operations & Maintenance information
  • Updating weekly reports on project progress and constraints

To be successful as a CAPEX Project Assistant, you’ll need:

  • Some experience, knowledge and/or interest in property or construction related disciplines
  • Experience within the Care Sector would be an advantage
  •  Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools particularly Excel and Word; ability to learn other relevant applications
  •  Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle for business use
  • To be organised with good time management and awareness of deadlines
  • Confidence to raise issues and ask questions
  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills
