Care Worker - Crossreach : Job Details

We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team and provide exceptional care and support to older people. This is a daytime position with shift work, including weekends, and a three-week rolling rota.

As a key worker for a group of designated service users, you’ll play a vital role in developing and reviewing care plans, helping with personal and intimate care, and supporting the use of aids and equipment. You’ll also work closely with health professionals, promote mental and physical activities, and ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.

Your daily tasks will include monitoring nutritional needs, responding to emergency calls, and maintaining professional communication with visitors. You’ll also need to follow Health and Safety regulations, take part in staff meetings, and work on a rota basis, covering weekends and evenings. At CrossReach, we also follow policies and financial procedures, so being committed to our guidelines is key, along with completing necessary training.

To be a great fit for this role, we’re looking for candidates who are working towards or have already obtained an SVQ 3 in Social Care and are comfortable with basic computer tasks. A respect for Christian worship is important, as you’ll also support service users in attending worship.
