Job Description :

Join us at Allarton, where we provide vital support to adults experiencing mental health challenges. Located in the heart of Glasgow, our team is dedicated to helping individuals lead more positive and fulfilling lives within their community. As a member of our staff, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering personalised support that empowers our residents to build confidence, develop skills, and engage with a range of activities.

Working at Allarton means being part of a passionate and caring team that truly values the importance of mental health. We believe in a person-centred approach, offering various group and one-on-one activities, such as social events, walking groups, and advocacy meetings, to support our residents' well-being. You will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging them to participate in community life.

If you are committed to making a real difference and have a genuine passion for supporting those with mental health challenges, we would love to hear from you. At Allarton, you'll find a supportive environment where your dedication is recognised, and your contributions are valued. Join us in making a meaningful impact and be a part of a team that strives to enhance the lives of those we serve.

We are looking for a dedicated Relief Care Worker to join our team, reporting to the Unit Manager. In this role, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality care to service users. Key duties include assisting with personal and intimate care, supporting the use of necessary aids and equipment, liaising with health professionals, and maintaining a clean, personalised environment. You will also be responsible for promoting mental and physical activity, monitoring nutritional needs, and managing emergency calls and communications.

Candidates should ideally hold an SVQ 3 in Social Care or be willing to obtain this qualification within a specified timeframe. Basic computer skills are necessary for completing mandatory e-learning courses. You must be respectful of our Christian ethos, facilitating service users' participation in worship of their choice, and be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme with registration with the Scottish Social Services Council.

If you are committed to providing compassionate care and can work within our Christian framework, we encourage you to apply. Your contribution will ensure the highest standard of care and support for our service users in a respectful and nurturing environment.

As we do our work in Christ’s name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.

We have a legal obligation to ensure that we do not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK. This permission is without exception granted by UK Visas and Immigrations. We are required to check the entitlement to work in the UK of all prospective employees, regardless of nationality or job category.

We are committed to ensuring that we attract, retain, and develop the very best people to build a diverse and talented team and we recognise that every individual’s unique background, experience and ability contributes to our success. We aim to create an inclusive and inspiring environment where individuals feel valued and respected and where people can belong, thrive and be their very best, whoever they are.
