Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role involves a variety of tasks including cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring that all areas are well-organised. A background in commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces.
• Ensure that all communal areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
• Carry out minor maintenance tasks as required to ensure the facility remains in good condition.
• Monitor supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events or activities as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
• Foster a positive environment by interacting courteously with residents and visitors.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS is essential
• Previous experience in a caretaker or cleaning role is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and maintenance issues.
