Caretaker - Reed : Job Details

• Job Type: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
• Location: Walthamstow, East London
• Salary: £15.00 per hour PAYE, £18.00 per hour via Umbrella Company

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Site Services Officer/Premises Assistant/Caretaker to join our client's team, ensuring the security and maintenance of the school premises. The successful candidate will liaise daily with the Site Manager/Site Services Officer on caretaking issues to maintain a clean, tidy, maintained and welcoming learning environment.

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks to maintain the internal and external fabric of the school.
• Oversee the collection and disposal of waste.
• Undertake general cleaning duties, including emergency cleaning as needed.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring the smooth operation of school facilities.
• Porterage, room set ups, receiving deliveries, classroom moves
• Litter picking, sweeping up leaves, emptying bins

• Experience in a caretaking or facilities role, preferably within an educational setting.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a team.
• Good communication skills to liaise with both internal and external contacts.
