Role and Responsibilities:

The role of the Banking Specialist is critical within the FSSC. The Banking Specialist will be responsible for the transactional processes of the banking function within the FSSC. This will be activities such as, loading payments (manually and file driven), setting up banking templates, retrieving bank statements on a varying cadence, providing proof of payment to the business and managing Finance Service Now.

The role reports directly to the Banking & Vendor Operational Lead.

Operational Delivery of Banking activities

Perform all banking related activities across all FSSC entities:

Bank interactions (ops queries), bank payment query management, assistance in managing company card application process, payment run process, manual and urgent payments processes, manage DD process, bank statetents process.

Providing assistance to queries for AR/AP/R2R finance teams (OneFinance)

Key problem solver for the BAU Banking activities

Policy, Process and Control documentation

Support implementation of process changes that are clearly aligned with the business strategy

Ensures that the AR/AP/R2R team have appropriate process documentation.

Support with the roll out of policies and procedures, working with the relevant GPOs and Finance leadership.

Implements best practice processes across AR/AP/R2R

Finance in enterprise-wide Projects:

Ad hoc representative / delegate for Operational Finance in various Mundipharma initiatives led by other functions (compliance, legal, etc.)

Support where applicable on Group led initiatives which impact transactional finance and ensure benefits and efficiencies are not at risk or compromised

What you’ll bring:

Professional Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, CPA, CMIIA, CIA) or working towards or equivalent

Experience with significant exposure to Operational Finance activities

At least 2 years’ experience of leading an AR and cash and banking team

Process improvement experience

Continuous improvement track record

Working in an agile change environment

Relevant business experience in a complex, global, multi-faceted company

Experience with transforming teams

End to end finance process understanding

Finance shared services

ERP roll out programme experience, automation initiatives

Pharma industry processes

End to end enterprise processes understanding

Proven ability to deliver to deadlines

Working well under pressure

Takes initiative and is resourceful.
