Sacco Mann has been instructed on an exciting opportunity for a Casualty Fraud Solicitor to join a highly regarded national team based in Manchester City Centre. The Casualty Fraud team specialises in defending EL/PL claims, and the role will involve handling your own caseload of fast-track and multi-track claims, focusing on fraud and claims validation for both private and public sector clients.
As a Casualty Fraud Solicitor, your role will include:
- Managing a caseload of defendant EL/PL and highways claims with a focus on fraud detection and validation.
- Handling claims involving housing disrepair, property damage, and other casualty matters.
- Liaising with clients, courts, witnesses, and opponents, conducting detailed liability investigations.
- Utilising specialist fraud detection intelligence resources for counter-fraud investigations.
- Drafting pleadings, preparing court documents, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Achieving financial and chargeable targets while adhering to firm policies and procedures.
Skills and experience required:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 4 years PQE and demonstrable experience managing defendant EL/PL casualty claims.
- Experience in fraud-specific claims is highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of EL/PL, highways and housing law.
- Excellent communication, drafting and influencing skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads independently and achieve set targets.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
