Role: Category Manager
Location: Birmingham
Contract: 3 month
Rate: £500 - £600 p/d
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Category Manager. The role offers hybrid working and covers the Asset Management/FM/Construction categories.
The Role:
- Lead on procurement projects to deliver value for money
- Provide contract support and strong supplier relationship management to ensure commercial objectives are hit
- Implement controls for high value, high risk contracts
- Advise stakeholders on the full procurement life cycle
- Develop new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with updated legislation
- Support departments throughout whole contract life
- Identify areas for improvement and value-added opportunities
The Person:
- Track record of procurement delivery at a high level
- Contract and supplier relationship management experience
- Experience of developing category strategies
- Stakeholder management skills
- Public Sector procurement experience
- MCIPS or equivalent level of relevant experience
