Category Manager - Synnovis : Job Details

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Category Manager to join our Procurement team, for a fixed term of 1 year, to cover maternity leave. This role is based in Synnovis Services which provides and manages Synnovis’ laboratory facilities, including all equipment, consumables, and maintenance services. You will also support the wider business units, within Synlab in the UK as and where required.

This role is responsible for delivering a strategic procurement service for the Business on specific/allocated portfolio of sourcing categories and contribute significantly to the delivery of procurement projects wthin key markets, ensuring contract compliance, sustainable cost improvements, and the delivery of a wide range of associated benefits. Initially this role will be focused on the categories of Infection Sciences and Tissue Sciences, both of which form a key part of the Transfomation of key laboratory services into the Synnovis Hub laboratory, located in Blackfriars, London.

The succesful candidate will meet customer requirements, through Procurement best practise, by demonstrating value for money, through compliance with category priorities and contracts, and by actively managing key stakoelders across multuple sites and services, and working closely across the market place through supporting key strategies for supplier and contract management, under the Category Plans and company objectives.

Supporting the Senior Category Manager and Head of Procurement by analysing current spend in specific categories to support the development of procurement strategies to enable the delivery of sustainable cost efficiencies and savings.
