Job Title: Catering Assistant

Location: Vale of Glamorgan

Pay: £12.82 per hour

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Job Description:

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable catering assistants to join our team in The Vale of Glamorgan. As a catering assistant, you will support the kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals, ensuring a high standard of food hygiene and customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with food preparation and cooking
• Serving food and beverages to students, staff, and visitors
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment
• Following health and safety regulations
• Reporting any issues to the kitchen supervisor

Requirements:

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility to work up to 20 hours per week, including mornings or evenings
• Screening and an enhanced DBS check are required
