Job description:
In this role, you will manage volume phasing by building strong working relationships with the Grocery Supply Analyst to effectively handle customer demand and align orders with the phased forecast plan. You will ensure visibility of the customer’s operational performance and communicate any impacts in conjunction with the CS&L Analyst. Effective customer planning for new products, seasonal, and promotional activities, along with proactive constraint management and collaborative planning, will be key to improving forecast accuracy.You will conduct daily and weekly analyses of the forecast to manage customer demand profiles against forecast consumption, identifying under or over consumption by line and determining if changes are due to phasing or material shifts in the forecast. You will propose and align actions with the sales team and planning, and proactively manage any forecast changes within a 12-week window to ensure they do not impact overall availability. Tracking customer availability across internal and external depots and stores using data tools, you will work with customer supply chain teams to maximize availability and identify gaps to drive increased sales.You will formalize and lead weekly and monthly reviews, conducting monthly forecast surgeries with the sales team to assess forecast accuracy and bias, and amend forecasts in both short and long-term horizons. Collaborative working with the sales channel team will be essential to optimize forecast accuracy and deliver business plans, translating demand in conjunction with larger customers based on their intake plans. You will work collaboratively with customer supply chain teams to plan promotional, NPD, range changes, and seasonal activities through structured meetings focused on future planning and past reviews.You will ensure orders are generated in line with the phasing plan and manage the seasonal commitment process for commercial customers to clarify seasonal buys and effectively manage volumes to maximize sales and minimize residuals. Tracking seasonal and NPD sales and availability performance, you will flag any incremental or decremental opportunities to enable supply. Managing waste targets and optimizing residual ingredients, packaging, and materials alongside forecasts will also be part of your responsibilities.Building great relationships is at the heart of the Collaboration Service Manager role, enabling trust and alignment with customers. You will develop and drive collaborative supply plans with priority customers to enhance service and on-shelf performance
