Job Title: Customer Due Diligence Analyst
Salary: £34,500
Location: Kent
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with my client, a growing financial services organisation for an experienced analyst to join a friendly and collaborative Customer Due Diligence team on a permanent basis. You will draw on and apply your knowledge and experience of AML regulation and policy to tasks including on-boarding new customers, monitoring of transactions and KYC refresh for existing customers.
Duties include:
- To carry out due diligence on overseas outgoing and incoming payments by use of appropriate searches, internet searches and customer information, allocating the correct risk rating to the payment
- Preparing documentation where a high risk is identified, detailing sanctions information and entity matches identified as either a positive or false positive match
- Review new account applications and trigger events, ensuring all relevant documents have been received and any anomalies referred to the appropriate person
- Check all ID and V documents are in line with the AML policy and that additional appropriate searches have been completed before sign off
- Review all customer account records on an annual or 3 yearly basis depending on the risk level given to that customer, including enhance due diligence on high-risk customers and PEPs to establish any changes which may affect their services
- Requesting any outstanding documentation from the customer in order to satisfy AML requirements
- Provide advice and guidance on AML and KYC legislation and processes to internal and external customers
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Substantial experience working in an AML/KYC environment within a bank or financial services firm
- Experience working with high-risk entities across home and foreign jurisdictions
- Extensive knowledge of AML and terrorist financing regulations and sources of information to support investigations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Can effectively prioritize workflow
