Chef de Partie

Location - Margate, Kent

Salary- £27,500 per annum DOE

Permanent

Part-time and full-time positions are available.

We have an exciting opportunity in Margate that would suit an experienced Chef de Partie who can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The position will be full-time, working various shifts, which will include working weekends. Our client is looking for an individual who can be part of the team providing quality food production and service at their Margate location.

Responsibilities of the Chef de Partie

• Setting up the kitchen before a restaurant’s opening
• Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line
• Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
• Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
• Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes
• Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
• Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment

Skills and Experience for the Role of Chef de Partie

• Hardworking and driven
• Have a background in working in a kitchen that uses fresh ingredients
• Qualified to Level 2 in Food Hygiene (if you are not- we will provide this training for you)
• Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar environment (if you have not but are ambitious to learn- reach out anyway!)
• Be a genuine team player.
