Chef
Job Type: Full and Part-time roles available
Salary: £13.50 - £15 per hour
Our client is looking for a Chef to join their new Bistro / Cafè / restaurant in Luton. They are a small family catering business in Bedfordshire that runs multiple coffee vans, food vans and three cafés. They are professional, agile and innovative.
The Role:
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen.
- Create and develop new menu items.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation workers.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained when dealing with customers.
Their ideal candidate will:
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Driving Licence (preferred).
